Bray and Scancodes
How the Keyboard Emulator can help.
To create a sequence of keystrokes you will sometimes need to know the scancode
for a particular key. In the past you would have needed to look up the details in a special
Scancode Table. But the easiest way to find out is to use the Keyboard Emulator
The Keyboard Emulator is a free web based application. You click the keys with a
mouse and the scancodes for the key are printed out in a text box. The output from
the Keyboard emulator is correct Bray syntax for a Scancode String so it can be copied
directly into a Bray script without any editing being necessary.
The Keyboard Emulator has a lot of component parts (each key is a separate image)
so the web page can be slow to load - particularly if you do not have a broadband
connection- so please be patient. Image caching in your browser should improve the
connection speed for subsequent connections.
