AC57 Special Configuration
The AC57 is a special purpose configuration. Before ordering check that the non standard Input #2
is compatible with the peripheral device you wish to attach. Contact the Support desk for assistance
if you are unsure.
AC57: Input 1, DB9 male

2 | RxD | Data coming from device and entering Mux for onward transmission to Host. |
3 | TxD | Optional return data path from Mux to device. Not connected unless jumper link is fitted. Default is fitted |
4 | DTR | Provides + 5v DC at up to 300mA to power devices |
5 | GND | Common data ground |
6 | DSR | Not connected |
7 | RTS | RS232 handshake line output. Permanently enabled (Wired to +12v via 1k resistor) |

Summary
- Jumper Link Channel 1: Closed. Backward data path enabled
- Jumper Link Channel 2: Open. Backward data path disabled
- Data Switch: Toward Power Socket. Data injected into Host/Terminal pin 2 circuit.
